Try Better Tuesday: 3 Good Things
It's Try Better Tuesday!
Some reading this may have a daily gratitude journal. Or, as my friend Santalynda Marrero, Ed. D. recently shared, a gratitude jar where she puts her written notes for future reflection. I have one and admittedly don't use it often enough. But I do speak my gratitudes out loud daily so I think I'm doing okay on the gratitude tip.
If you have a desire to start a new gratitude habit, or just want to change things up a bit, consider jotting down 3 good things about the day that just passed. If a pen and paper are not handy, take a moment to think about the day and find the goodness in it.
Today, I had a really good salmon quiche for breakfast; time to run errands before the holiday rush; and a good meeting with one of my collaborating partners, Mercedes E. Martin-Burgess. And my day isn't finished so I'm adding a couple more good things - an hour on the treadmill and a few pages of Octavia Butler's Mind of My Mind!
Let's all try better in finding moments of big and little goodness, and all the goodness in between. You might surprise yourself!
