Happy New Year!

What does peace of mind look like? It looks like whatever you need.

This is mine. A beach with an incredible view anywhere in the world. This one is on Ambergris Caye in Belize and was taken sometime in August 2023. I had a real need to get away, rest and restore. Belize has and will always be a place for me to do just that.

Time has no meaning when you’re at peace. Your heartbeat may be the only thing you feel… that and the rise and fall of your chest as you breathe more deeply than maybe ever before. Time doesn’t stop but it blows over your body with a warm breeze. Music sounds sweeter. Conversation isn’t necessary.

The rattling around of all things in your brain takes a break. It’s like your brain is being cleansed while you’re awake. It’s painless if you let it happen. Questions cease. Now is what singularly matters.

Whenever things get hectic, I close my eyes and recall my time on this beach. I hope you have a place that brings you back to peace of mind, too.

It’s 2025 and I’m thinking that I’ll be calling on this place a lot or maybe I’ll just get there and stay there.
